Our community has done well during my time on the Council. We’ve made major investments in infrastructure including major stormwater projects such as Washington Park. We’ve managed taxes to keep them some of the lowest in DuPage County and we’ve reduced the Village personnel by over 20% - all while improving services.

During my time on the Council, we’ve raised our credit rating to AAA - the highest possible municipal rating. We’ve improved our Police Department accreditation and raised our Fire Department’s ISO rating making Downers Grove one of a special few communities to be able to claim top status on all three of these metrics.

Our public works team has reduced average snow clearing times, improved average street conditions and won National prominence as one of the top Green Fleets in the country. We’ve invested in new fire and police equipment including a new ladder truck and all new police vehicles.

And we’ve planned for the future including the adoption of the first Comprehensive Plan for the Village since 1965.
